Combat
Combat in Galaxia is resolved server-side. The client never decides the outcome of a battle; it only shows the report.
How a battle resolves
When a fleet arrives with hostile intent, the server runs up to six rounds of combat. Each round:
1. Each unit picks a random target on the opposing side.
2. Shields absorb hits up to capacity, then armor takes damage.
3. Rapid-fire rolls trigger extra shots against priority targets.
4. Units below 70 percent armor have a chance to explode at end of round.
If either side is wiped out (or one side flees the engagement is impossible), the battle ends early.
Rapid-fire matrix
Some unit pairs trigger rapid fire: after a successful hit, the attacker has a chance to fire again at the same class of target. Examples:
- Bomber vs Defense — extreme rapid fire on most static defenses.
- Destroyer vs Battlecruiser — significant rapid fire.
- Cruiser vs Light Fighter — high rapid fire, makes Light Fighters fragile mid-game.
Debris and recycling
50 percent of titanium and crystal from destroyed ships becomes a debris field above the planet. Send a Recycler to collect it before the opponent does. Plasma is never recovered.
Reports
Combat reports include attacker fleet, defender fleet, round-by-round losses, looted resources and debris size. They are stored in the Combat Reports tab and survive logout.
